Not everyone can think of a shower theme off the top of their head, so the following is a list of some ideas that may help you get started:

• Kitchen Shower. Guests bring gifts to go in the bride’s kitchen.
• ‘Round the clock Shower. Guests are assigned a certain time of day when they RSVP. The gifts they give are based on that time of day. For example, 9am could be a toaster; noon could be an answering machine; 5pm dinner plates; 10pm candles; 4am bedsheets; 6am an alarm clock.
• Gardening Shower. If your couple-to-be loves to garden then plants, gardening tools, a wheelbarrow and other accessories fit the bill, especially if they've just bought a new house.
• Gift Certificate Shower. Let the couple buy their own gifts from the stores of your choice.
• Get- the- House- in -Order Shower. If they've just bought a house or condo, you can bet the place will need some fixing or sprucing up. Have everyone arrive in their work clothes and ready to paint, clean or hammer.
• Linen Shower. Guests purchase sheet sets, towels, table linens, and other linens.
• Cash Shower. Give the bride and groom some much needed money!
• Dollar Store Shower. For the budget-wise shower, keep the gift budget to $5 per person or, better yet, challenge them to find a decent gift at the dollar store.
• Hobby Shower. Your bride-to-be must have a passion for something! When you find out what it is, stock her up with supplies!
• Toolbox Shower. The groom may especially appreciate this one! Provide them with the tools they need for their home.
• Lingerie Shower. Help the bride to be get ready for the honeymoon! This female only shower is a blast and a great way to provide lingerie for the bride.
