One of Vermont’s hottest real estate trends is second homes and rental properties. Residents of Boston and New York City are purchasing real estate in Vermont in record numbers. Sales have been strong in the ski villages of Killington, Stowe, and Mount Snow, where condominiums are continuing to be built. There have also been strong condominium sales in the southern portions of the state, given their easy access to lower New England and New York City. Some of these new owners are using their second homes as rental properties as well.
