You want to choose a school that’s accredited for your Distance Learning. Accreditation tells you the quality of your education provider; but understand that accreditation varies, so it’s not the end all, be all decision-maker for choosing a school. You can check the legitimacy of accreditors at www.ed.gov, a Web site kept by the U.S. Department of Education. Also check out:

· How long the school has been in service;

· What programs the school offers;

· The backgrounds and educational experience of the school’s teachers;

· How much tuition costs, and whether any other fees or costs apply;

· How many students the teacher will be in charge of;

· What computer programs or capabilities is required;

· How long it takes to complete the program;

· Whether you can work at your own pace;

· Whether anyone is available if you have questions;

· How many students are currently enrolled, and how many have graduated.
