For the middle of your trip, especially after a potentially heavy day at Dealey Plaza, a Texas-sized amusement part is sure to hit the spot. This Six Flags is in its 45th year and the park is celebrating by opening 10 new rides for 2006. The park is also starting nightly parades. Some rides that Six Flags Over Texas features are Runaway Mountain – a one-of-a-kind steel coaster enclosed in a 65-foot tall mountain – and Texas Giant – a monstrous wooden roller coaster that towers 14 stories into the Texas sky and reaches a top speed of 62 mph.
