There are many neighborhoods in Nashville in which to buy real estate, some of which are residential, other agricultural, some business, etc. However, the majority of real estate in Nashville is indeed residential, and the following suburbs are some example neighborhoods in Nashville and what they’re like.

• Belle Meade. This is one of the most luxurious suburbs in the South – home of “the Queen of Tennessee Plantations.” It is also home to Cheekwood, a mansion and collection of gorgeous gardens and art collections. The homes here are immaculate, with history and culture a prime benefit of the area.
• Green Hills. This is not only a great place to live but also fantastic for a night out on the town. Its beautiful homes withstanding, Green Hills is also known for the Bluebird Café (where many famous musicians have graced the stage), F. Scotts (which features jazz), the Greenhouse Bar (Yes, it’s actually a greenhouse!), and the town’s numerous shopping opportunities.
• Vandy. This is the nickname for the area surrounding Vanderbilt University. With year-round ice-skating, swimming, fitness opportunities, and of the course the university programs, this is a fine place to work and live.
• Berry Hill. A growing neighborhood featuring specialty shops and renovated houses, Berry Hill is known for its exciting yet quaint personality.
