There is still plenty to see in downtown Knoxville so start your second day in downtown. You won’t want to miss the Old City Historic District which offers shopping, crafts, antiques, coffee shops, restaurants, and plenty of nightspots. You may want to come back here this evening to check out those nightspots. The Old City Historic District is located downtown at the intersection of Jackson Avenue and Central Street.

Make your way over to the Candy Factory to see one of the finest chocolate factories in the South. There is a gift shop that sells the candy so be sure to stop in for some of the over 100 candies. Along the way, take in some of the quaint Victorian houses that are home to art studios and galleries, as well as antique and curiosity shops.

You’ve probably done enough walking in the past two days and are ready for an activity that doesn’t include a lot of walking. A great way to enjoy the Tennessee River is aboard the Star of Knoxville. This is a Mississippi style paddle-wheeler that takes you on a hour and a half sightseeing tour. You can also take a lunch or dinner cruise or maybe you would enjoy a gospel or country music cruise or murder mystery cruise. You can board the Star of Knoxville at the Tennessee Riverboat Company located off Interstate 40 at exit 338A Business Loop. Daytime cruises are $12.50 for adults and $7.95 for children, lunch and brunch cruises are $22.95 for adults and $12.95 for children, dinner cruises are $27.95 to $34.90 for adults and $17.50 for children.
