Of course, all lakes are different. However, there are many activities that seem to present themselves again and again at these lovely areas; and they all make for a fun summer vacation or weekend off. Here are some ideas for summer fun at the lake:

• Explore the history and culture around the lake. Though it will be different each lake you visit, discovering the history and the culture of the place can be quite a fun and stimulating activity. After all day in the water, clean up and go check out any museums, mansions, other historic sites, or festivals in the area.
