Downtown

The downtown area is quickly becoming one of the fastest growing residential areas in St. Louis. With all the attractions that the downtown area offers with in walking distance many people are choosing to relocate to this area.

 

 

 With several buildings being converted into lofts and residential living spaces the market downtown is booming. Locations are available downtown for lease as well for to own.

·        Lofts: There are several buildings in the downtown area that offer strictly loft spaces and those that offer a variety of living spaces. Lofts for lease tend to be around $900 a month in rent and they usually start in price around $169,000 to buy. Lofts generally have 1 to 2 bedrooms with 1 to 2 baths.

·        Penthouses: Several buildings that offer lofts also have penthouses available as well. Penthouses are generally a lot larger than lofts with 2 to 3 bedrooms and 2 to 3 baths. Penthouses usually cost $450,000 and up.

 

As the downtown grows into more of a residential area of the city more schools are being opened in the community. St. Louis University and Harris Stowe University are located downtown.

 

 

The downtown area is probably has the largest number of attractions to offer including the Gateway Arch, the Old Courthouse, the Savvis Center, the Edward Jones Dome, Union Station, state and federal courthouses, Foxx Theatre, as well as a large number of restaurants.
