As mentioned above, parks are one place you can take your snowmobile for riding. Millions of people go to parks every year to enjoy themselves and have fun. Some parks have restrictions while other parks don’t. Check out where you are going first so you know what you can and cannot do. Here are a couple of famous parks people go to every winter:
 
·        Yellowstone National Park: Yellowstone is a great place to go riding. Plenty of hills and slopes to ride your snowmobile freely. However, they do have restrictions. Now they only allow up to 720 machines in the park each day. Plus, you can’t ride on your own. You must have a commercial licensed operator to guide you through the park. The best time to visit the park is after December 21st.
·        Haines Summit, BC: Riding a snowmobile is restricted to only a certain area of this park. This area is Natural Environment Zone. This has a limited number of entry points. This park is restricted do to the valley bottoms and valley ridges.
·        Allegheny National Forest, PA: Here you will find hundreds of trails to suit your taste. There is over 513,000 acres of land to choose from. Trails open in the middle of December and go till April 1st.
·        Idaho State Park: Here’s a beautiful park to ride your snowmobile. Unfortunately, you do need a permit to ride one. On or after November 1st, you must register the snowmobile with the Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation. The registration fee is $22.50 for personal machines and $52.50 if you are renting one. Also, Idaho requires all out-of-state snowmobile users to purchase a non resident snowmobile user certificate. The cost of this certificate is $21.50 and is available at the time you register your vehicle.
