Looking for jackets, whether the jacket is for outdoor sports or regular outdoor use, getting the right size is very important. If the size is too big, it will flop all over the place and be too baggy. It may even interfere with your riding, if you are riding a snowmobile. Having a jacket that is too small is even worse because you will be restricted from movement and can’t breathe. You will be most uncomfortable. So getting the right size is most important. Here are sizes that are most commonly available:
· X-Small: This is usually for the small frame type. This person is small to average build that has a chest size of between 36 inches and 38 inches.
· Small: This person wears a small size but is a little more than average build. This chest size is between 38 inches and 40 inches.
· Medium: This person has a little more than average build and it tall – around five feet six inches or more. This person’s chest size is between 40 inches and 42 inches.
· Large: This size could be for a person who is pretty tall and/or muscular. The chest size is between 44 inches and 46 inches.
· X-large: The person wearing this coat could be over 7 feet tall with a chest size of 48 inches to 50 inches.
· XX-Large: People of this size are either big in the chest, very tall, or very muscular. This person takes between 52 inches and 54 inches.
