Having a snowmobile helmet is one thing. Using it keeps you protected from injury. But every so often you may decide to take it out and clean it. Although the liner is made for years of care free and comfortable use, if you decide to clean it, you will have to unsnap the cheek pads and pull them over the chin straps. The liner is attached to the helmet by two snaps at the back of the neck and by locator tabs on the front of the forehead. Just pull down on the liner and it will pop off the tabs. After you wash it, put the liner back in by snapping the tabs back in place. When doing this, make sure the chin straps are routed through the cut outs in the cheek pads or you won’t have the chinstraps mounted correctly. Make sure every snap is secure. You wouldn’t want the helmet to come loose when riding.
