No matter what shampooer you use, you still have to be mindful of certain things to do to your carpet shampooer so as to get the best use of the machine. You don’t just unpack it, fill the tank with water, put it on the carpet, and let it go. There are factors involved you must do first and last when you use your machine. Here are some ways to get the best out of your shampooer:

·        Safety Minded Before using your machine, read all safety tips first. When you use your carpet shampooer, always follow the recommended usage for the machine you purchased. Trying to use the machine for any other purpose could damage it. Make sure you know the correct setting for your shampooer regarding the carpet you are going to clean. If your machine is not set right, you may not get a fully cleaned carpet.
·        Correct Cleaner – As stated above, when you use your shampooer, make sure to use the recommended cleaner. Any other cleaner may have chemicals that could corrode the lining of the tank and hose, making the machine work harder. This in turn will wear it out faster.
·        Storing Unit – When you have completed shampooing the carpet and you are ready to put the machine away, make sure to rinse out the hose, tank, and filters, if it is a canister. If it is an upright, rinse the attaching hose (if used), tank, filter, and bottom brushes. This will ensure the machine is thoroughly clean and ready to use again.
