If you have never experienced an underwater camera then it is about time to start. Whilst there are many outstanding photo worthy places worldwide, under the ocean is no different.
Every photographer has to start somewhere and if you think just jumping in and taking pictures is the key, then you are mistaken.
• Never take pictures from too far away. This can cause pictures that are developed appear hazy, it is a common mistake a lot of people make and therefore you need to be close to a subject but not too close
• Get a camera with a flash. On land, if in a dark place it can make all the difference to your photos. Being underwater won’t effect overall quality as much but can still play a huge part
• Take photos from angles. It will give a very different view to the underwater kingdom but can give off a better look when a picture is taken properly. Before going on your trip, I would consider experimenting with this whenever possible so you know what is comfortable and going to have the best effect.
Top Tip: No matter how good the camera or how much was spent, always ensure that when taking photos to be as close as possible to get the best angle and sharpest pictures.
