Digital versus SLR's

Choosing the right camera is not too difficult but once under the water, you don’t want to end up with a camera that you don’t feel comfortable with.

For many, digital cameras are the best option because overall it is a lot easier to catch all important opportunities. However, if you like a challenge then purchasing an SLR is the way to go.

One major downside with SLR cameras is while they produce excellent photo’s you will need to keep on changing the film if you have a day of taking photo’s whereas a digital camera does not require films, you just need to keep the battery charged.

Top Tip: If you are unsure which type of camera would be suitable for you, I would seek professional advice. He/she will ask your level of experience and the type of trip your camera will be used for. It is strongly recommended to get help when purchasing photography equipment.
