Safety Tips

With all water sports there are many safety requirements with Scuba Diving and if you are don’t certain on what you are doing, accidents can and most likely will occur.

All potential participants are required to undertake an element of training before entering the open ocean. There is quite an element of understanding required because you need to understand how the equipment works and how to resurface safely.

• Never dive alone. If you are to get into serious trouble such as getting trapped in a cavern for example then having experienced divers in the vicinity, it is less likely to end in tragedy
• Make sure all equipment works properly and is a comfortable fit, it is very unlikely but something could be faulty despite all items being thoroughly checked
• Always make sure sunscreen is worn. For ultimate protection, it is best to go for about factor 15 or higher if possible
• Keep drinking fluids regularly because dehydration can occur after a certain amount of diving. Always look after yourself whilst in the ocean
