Francisco, CA 94109

Description: Located half a block from the bay, Argonaut Hotel was originally built in 1909 as a warehouse for the California Fruit Canners Association as a fruit and vegetable canning complex. This four-story timber and brick landmark building is truly a whimsical gem. With 239 rooms and 13 suites, the atmosphere resembles a luxury cruise ship with its nautical colors. Argonaut’s rooms are very spacious and have exposed-brick walls, whitewashed wooden furniture, and wood-beamed ceilings. The suites possess awe-inspiring views and have telescopes to take in the full effect. The windows can open to let in the full sound effects of the waterfront and fresh sea air. The hotel is very kid-friendly with staff going out of their way to make the children feel at home. Some rooms provide a great view of Alcatraz, and the concierge at the hotel does an amazing job of supplying visitors tickets to Alcatraz.
