Most RV owners think of their RV as their home-away-from-home. All of the comforts of modern RVs make it seem even more like you're taking your house on vacation. However, unlike your house, your RV comes completely furnished. Following are the most common furnishings that are standard on nearly every RV:
- Bedrooms: Every RV has at least one bed; most are double or queen-sized beds, and some are twin or bunk beds. Many RVs have beds that are not easily noticed at first glance. Some couches and dining areas fold down into beds, and some RVs have a bed above the cab. Most RVs have drawers and/or a closet in or near the bedroom, and sometimes you will find a vanity in the bedroom.
- Living Areas: An average RV living area has at least one regular-sized couch and one or two easy chairs. Slideouts, or moving walls, are standard on at least half of today's RVs, and they automatically increase the living space and make room for the furniture to be used comfortably.
- Dining Areas: Most RVs can easily seat four people at a dinette, sometimes more. Some dinettes are booth-style and seat two people facing two people with a table in the middle. Many times, the table can be easily folded away and the seats folded out to make beds.
- Kitchens: Stoves and microwave ovens are standard appliances on most RVs. Stoves usually have three burners and also include an oven. Some RVs have built-in coffee makers and/or blenders. Nearly every RV comes with a refrigerator and a sink; sinks almost always have hot and cold running water.
