If you visit Portugal for a holiday or short break then you will see that some of buildings that were erected centuries ago are still standing today and withholding the weather conditions.
This is because excellent materials were used and like with Rome, the Romans were residing in the country known as Portugal during the 2nd century and as a result of their presence, like their own country many great features were produced.
The locals were to see roads, theatres, public buildings and bridges appear which were to set the nation up forever as a major public convenience and despite the problem of ongoing war during this time and up until around the 16th century, it really came into its own and offered many great facilities for the locals. The Romans started the immense growth and as you can see today the Portuguese really followed in their footsteps and finished off what was started and what you see today is the result of all the hard work and great designs from the roman and Portuguese nations.
