Also known as Porto, it is known as the second most important place within the Portuguese region and it is very popular once you get used to the surroundings because unlike the other regions surround the island, there is less natural beauty but the atmosphere does speak for itself.

It does have a wide range of cultural activities available to a visit and it was given the highly respectable European Cultural Capital which was to be shared with Rotterdam in 2001 and for such an achievement, it is an area of potential and this has been recognised by many individuals from all over the world. I would strongly recommend a visit and see what once of the best areas in Portugal has to offer you.
