Kitchen Faucets--Proper Use and Care

Kitchen faucets are very easy appliances to use; simply turn on the water and begin washing or drinking or filling your container with water. Fortunately, faucets are durable as well as simple so frequent use will not harm them.

That said, it is still a good idea to treat your kitchen faucet with care. Heavy items, such as pots, can damage a faucet, so don’t bang them into the faucet, and never push or pull down on the faucet spout.

In addition, try to avoid using chemicals on your kitchen faucet. Drain cleaner and hard water deposit remover can stain your faucet, and nylon and metal pads can leave scratches. Instead of using chemicals, clean your kitchen faucet using a soft sponge, a gentle cleansing agent, and water. Your faucet certainly shouldn’t have any aversion to water.
