Types of Gates

There are not many main types so it is quite straightforward picking an ideal gate to match your requirements but the main factors you need to keep in mind is, the strength of a gate, how much you want to spend, where to place a gate or gates and how safe is the gate against escapes or possible accidents.

 

·        Pressure Mounted: These only take several minutes to install and it must be secured against a solid frame that can hold the gate with no chance of it falling off or causing the door frame to break away

·        Stairway: It is ideal to go for the swing-top gate when located at the top of the stairs, it provides easy opening and closing at a potentially dangerous area if not located properly

 

Top Tip: It is important that you take an accurate measurement for your chosen area, a few centimetres can make a huge different to the safety and welfare of your pet, family and home.
