· Ensure all garden fencing is in intact and whether the dog is big or small you need to ensure it is at least 6ft tall to prevent escapes

· Provide a kennel so if the weather takes a turn for the worst, shelter is available should your family be at work all day

Top Tip: If your pet is outside on a daily basis then it may be an idea to purchase a gate that has good natural weathering elements because you may potentially end up paying more but you don’t want to replace it constantly.
