When Fido and Fluffy get the ho-hums and appear bored, playing solitaire or working on a puzzle are probably not options to solve the problem.

If your pet is acting strangely, such as a dog chasing its tail excessively or your cat over grooming itself, don't rule out the possibility of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), says Dr. Bonnie Beaver, a veterinarian and behavioral expert at the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at Texas A&M.

She believes obsessive compulsive disorders can lead to problems for your pet.

Yeah, I've often had problems with dogs being rambunctious and running around and barking and jumping on me. Oh wait...that's ever dog that's ever lived.
