This story about people willing to pay for high-end gadgets for their pets is pretty hilarious.

Of the many devices featured in the article: An actual GPS locator...for dogs; a cell phone letting you talk to a dog from any vantage-point; an elaborate entertainment system for fishes; a giant stroller for cats or small dogs; and a backpack for the containment and sealing of poop.

The GPS and cell phone things cost upwards of $300 or more. I had a dog once, and the most expensive item I ever had to get his attention was the "beating stick." Then again, maybe that's why the men in white coats came that one fateful August morning...
