I wouldn't read this if you are having a bad day...

Those people who push their pets, mostly dogs and cats, out of their cars on country roads and then race away before the animals realize what is happening are special: rating high up on the barometer of insensitivity and cruelty. By abandoning their pets, they are pronouncing a death sentence on them.

It gets worse after that, detailing what in all likelihood happens to the abandoned animal. The gist is: Take your unwanted pet to the animal shelter if you can't find a home to adopt it. At least there it can die mercifully. Of course, if people would get their pets spayed/neutered post haste much of this problem could be avoided. That, and I think the Humane Society should be subsidized by the government. Oh, I got ideas over here. Big ideas.
