Waxing

How it Works- Waxing works by applying warm, sticky wax to your skin. The wax is then removed by applying a cloth over the top of it and then swiftly ripping in off, bringing the unwanted hair with it. The results from waxing typically last for 3 to 6 weeks.
Cost- The cost of waxing varies, depending on whether you have it done professionally or whether you do it yourself. Waxing kits can be purchased at drug stores fairly inexpensively. The price of professional waxing varies from salon to salon.
Advantages- The results from waxing last for several weeks and, like shaving, can be done at home. Also, many people notice that after waxing, their hair grows in lighter and thinner.
Disadvantages- As you may have guessed, the process of waxing can be quite painful. Waxing may leave you with red skin, bumps, or inflammation. Also, professional waxing can become quite pricey, so it may not be the most economical way to remove unwanted hair.
Tips-
• Before you wax, let your hair grow to at least ¼ inch so the wax can adhere to the hairs. The best areas for waxing are legs, eyebrows, and the bikini area.
• If you have diabetes or are using prescription acne medications, you should avoid waxing due to the increased sensitivity of your skin.
