The most important thing that eye shadow can do for you is to complement your eyes – whether that’s subtly or dramatically. Because of this, the colors that you choose are very important. It’s ok to pick colors that don’t coordinate with your eyes; but definitely pick colors that coordinate with each other. Usually, you’ll need a light color for highlighting, a medium for the crease of the lid, and a dark for emphasis lining.
Eye shadows come in a variety of forms – from powders to creams and glittery dustings. If desired, these can be used separately or together for a dimensional look. With cream shadows, just don’t go overboard – a little will go along way.
