» What are the Types of Electric Razors?
There are two basic types of electric razors on the market. One type is not necessarily better than the other and the type you choose will largely depend on your personal preference. It is tough to know exactly what type of razor will work best for your individual needs. It generally takes about sixty days before your face will adjust to a new type of razor. It is suggested that you, at least, try a new razor for this length of time before making a permanent decision. Of course if skin irritations or discomfort occur, it is a good idea to stop using the particular product.
· Rotary
A rotary electric razor consists of two small discs that are the blades. These wheel shaped blades move in a circular motion when they receive power. The circular movement allows the blades to gentle cut the hair. Rotary razors are the choice razors for cutting long hairs. They are the ideal electric razor for individuals that have trouble shaving difficult areas such as the neck and chin. A rotary razor gently glides around these areas and is quite easy to maneuver. Rotary razors have a sturdy build and are very durable, but can be more difficult to clean and maintain. Rotary razors do not typically achieve as close of a shave as foil razors, but are enjoyed my many.
· Foil
Foil razors consist of blades that vibrate back and forth. While many enjoy the fact that foil razors help achieve a very close shave, they do not work as well on longer hairs. They typically cause less skin irritations which makes them a popular choice for sensitive skinned individuals. Foil razors are somewhat easier to clean than rotary razors, but it is important to be especially gentle when doing so. A foil razor has more delicate features than a rotary razor. Many enjoy using foil razors to trim side burns and the back of their neck.
· Vibrating Razor
A vibrating razor can be described as the cross between a disposable razor and an electric one. A vibrating razor can be used in the shower or bath with shaving cream or gel. It looks similar to a disposable razor and works much like an electric one. It contains batteries that, when turned on, allow the blades to gently vibrate back and forth. This allows the user to shave and requires little movement from them.
