Do I have to wear both foundation and concealer?

Some people feel overwhelmed by the fact that they think they have to use foundation and concealer all the time. Good news – you don’t! If you only need a very light coverage, you may not need concealer at all, since foundation does the same job as concealer – just much thinner. Or – if your skin is nearly perfect, you can use a little spot concealer on the blemishes, blend, and leave the rest uncovered.

It’s really your choice; you can use foundation or concealer alone or a combination of the two. The most important thing is to remember to wear moisturizer with any of the options. Also, if you’re only wearing concealer, make sure that it matches your skin tone. This can be tricky since concealer doesn’t come in as many shades as foundation does, but it’s a must unless you want to draw attention to your blemishes rather than hide them.
