Bath oils and salts are wonderful additions to almost any bath. Because of that, the natural desire would be to use the bath oils and salts which are so soothing with a hot tub or Jacuzzi which is also incredibly soothing with its jets.

However, bath salts and oils should never be used in whirlpool tubs or any bath that recirculates the water through the pipes. If they are used, there is a large risk of bacterial growth in the pipes which can promote infections for the users. However, if your tub is just a spa or a tub with jets that only circulate air, you’re free to use the bath oils and salts with the pulsating water.
