Bath oils and salts are easily obtained at drugstores, department stores, health stores, and many other places. And, they can be quite affordable depending on where you get them and what kind you get. However, if you’d like to make your own – either for the lower cost or just for the fun of it – you definite can. Plus, there are many flavors and ingredients that you can use – giving you the opportunity to use your creative juices and personal preference.

For your own bath oil, combine several ounces of an oil like sunflower oil, sweet almond oil, or even vegetable oil. Add several drops of your favorite essential oil, fill a decorative container of your choice, and either keep it for your own bathing pleasure, or give it to a friend as a very special, personalized gift.

To create your very own soothing bath salts, mix either sea salts or kosher salts with several drops of that fragrant oil you love. Use liberally in the tub for a truly soul-pampering experience.
