Philadelphia hosts many professional sports teams: the Philadelphia 76ers NBA basketball team, the Philadelphia Eagles NFL football team, the Philadelphia Flyers NHL hockey team, the Philadelphia Kixx MISL soccer team, the Philadelphia Phantoms AHL hockey team, the Philadelphia Phillies MLB baseball team and the Philadelphia Soul AFL football team, the Philadelphia Wings of the NLL and the Barrage of MLL (these last 2 are Lacrosse teams). Plan ahead, if you want to catch a great game in this great sports town.
Philadelphia also has a strong tradition in the realm of college sports. You may want to check out a game at the Palestra, the oldest major college arena still in use today. The Big 5 of Penn, Villanova, Temple, St. Joe’s and LaSalle, with Drexel as an honorary 6th member, play their home games on this court.
