Occasional Use Grill Tools

The final category of grilling tools is the tools that are not necessary for most grillers, either because you likely already have these items in your home (thus you do not need specialized grill models) or because you only use them with certain foods.

·        Fire Extinguisher: Some safety experts recommend that you keep a fire extinguisher near your grill, but in most cases, one in your home should be fine. Make sure, however, that you know where you store your home’s fire extinguisher.
·        Aluminum Pans: Aluminum pans (or drip pans) make grilling side dishes a snap because you can place the entire pan directly onto the grill but away from direct heat.
·        Marshmallow Skewers: These skewers are kid-friendly and great for bonfires or on camping trips. Instead of using sticks to hold marshmallows, roast your marshmallows on the tips of these skewers. Many of these skewers are also collapsible, so you can easily store them.

In addition to these three items, there are scores of items that even seasoned grillers would only use for certain dishes. If you wanted to grill food over a marinade, for example, you can purchase a specialized container to place under the food. If you don’t want to use traditional skewers, you can purchase a kabob set. Once you start looking into grill tools, you may never come to the end of them.
