» What are Wind Chimes?
Wind chimes are often hollow and are made out of a variety of different materials. They can be hung inside or outdoors and when the wind strikes them they produce “music”. The depth of sound a wind chime makes is determined by the length, width, thickness, and what material the chime is made out of. There are certain parts of the world where wind chimes are used to predict a change in weather. Chimes are places on both the north and south sides of homes. If a wind comes in from the north or north west it can be an indication of cooler weather or a storm. If winds come in from the south it could mean milder weather. Wind Chimes are also seen as symbols of good luck in certain countries. They are also used in Feng Shui, the art of decorating to achieve maximum harmony.
