» How Patio Heaters Work
Patio heaters enable people to stay outdoors long – longer into the evening and longer into the seasons – without worry of the baby’s chill or dad catching a cold. They work in backyards, on front porches, on pool decks, or virtually anywhere else you may want to relax. But how do they work? What sorts of warmth will they provide?
Patio heaters provide a 15’ to 25’ circle of warmth by raising the temperature 10 to 25 degrees. Although there are several different energy sources for the heaters, many operate using propane and thus allowing setup almost anywhere. They are also inexpensive to operate yet are more powerful than natural gas heaters.
Using premium materials and quality construction, patio heaters are both of high quality and safe. Their infrared heat directly warms people and objects without wasting energy on heating the air; thus, patio warmers provide a form of heat that will not blow away. The infra-red heat will provide warmth much like the sun’s gentle waves but without the harmful UV rays. Most use approximately 40,000 to 45,000 BTUs of heat.
