You come home from a hard day at work. You even worked overtime. It is dark out. You pull up to your house and park your car. You fight the lights to find our house keys. Once you find them you have to walk around your car, up the sidewalk, to your front door. During this time you can’t see around you so you don’t know if anyone is hiding behind a bush. Not only that, but without lighting, it’s hard to see your way to the front door (unless you go in through the back door). To resolve this problem you need outdoor lighting. This article will present to you the kind of lighting you can get, and, if you have the ability, to install it, and maintain it. Here are some styles of lighting that are available:

·        Murray Feiss Lighthouse Fixture: This light is unique in that it looks exactly like a lighthouse. It too is wall mounted near the entrance to the house. This particular outdoor light is made of brushed steel. It also comes in burnished bronze. It handles 120V AC with power output of 100 Watts. This one cost close to $200.  
·        Hinkley Regal Light Fixture: This outdoor light can be found on the ceiling, possibly on the front or back porch. This particular fixture comes in black granite. It uses 120V AC and uses 40 Watts of power. It comes at a hefty price tag of $186.   
·        Quoizel Rutherford Fixture: This ceiling mounted outdoor light has a glass dome and comes in copper. It uses 120V AC and uses 75 Watts of power. The price tag is a little better at $89.  
·        Progress Tiffany Type Fixture: If you are looking for style, this would be it. It comes in golden baroque and uses 120V AC. It uses 60 Watts of power. This is also different from the other ceiling lights in that it uses three bulbs instead of one. It too is pricey at $190.  
·        Royce Williamsburg fixture: This outdoor light is different in that it hangs instead of being mounted. It comes in a natural iron finish. It uses 120V AC and uses 60 Watts of power. This also uses three bulbs. You can get this at $138.  
·        Kichler Tournai Fixture: For a bit of elegance and sophistication, you can get this outdoor hanging light. It comes in Londonderry. This light uses three bulbs. It also uses 120V Ac and consumes 60 Watts of power. The price is high too at $475.  
·        Progress Arts & Crafts Light: If you are looking for good outdoor lighting that will help you see as you walk up to your house, this is it. It uses low voltage (12V) as contained in cast housing.  It also comes with 36” of wire to connect to its feeder. It uses one bulb and uses only 24 Watts of power. It comes in Weathered Bronze and has a price tag of $84.
·        Hubbardton Forge Light: This outdoor light is almost like the wall mounted fixture except it is mounted on the post. It comes in two types of finish: Natural Iron and Dark Smoke. It uses only one bulb and also uses 120V AC. And it consumes 150 Watts of power. It also comes at a price. The price tag is $443.  
 
When you go outside your home you expect to be protected and have ample lighting to see where you are going and to give visitors the ability to find your home and make it to the front door without getting hurt. Outdoor lighting does this for you. Choose the one that fits what your style and what you want it to do.
