• If only one light is out on the entire strand, then you probably just have a burnt out light bulb. This is an easy fix. Typically, the mini lights come with replacement bulbs, but if you are using larger lights, you can purchase replacement bulbs from a hardware store or craft store, such as Ace Hardware or Hobby Lobby. Make sure that you have turned off the strand of lights before you insert or replace any bulbs.
• If an entire strand is not working, then you might have a fuse that is out. This is also an easy fix. Simply purchase a replacement fuse from your local hardware or craft store. The costs of these normally run between one and two dollars.
• If you find that only half of your strand is not working, then it could have a double fuse and you just need to replace one of the fuses.
• If you ever plug your lights in and find that they begin to smoke, immediately unplug and discard this strand. A strand of 100 mini lights is only a couple of dollars and your safety is worth much more.
• It is extremely important to annually inspect your lights and wiring for any obvious damage, such as, frayed wires or broken sockets, to ensure your safety.
