Commercial moving can be a painstaking event for any business or organization. The need to continue providing services or products to customers is the goal for any organization or business that wants to remain successful and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction. To prepare for the commercial moving experience, there is a time management formula that has been adopted by many professional commercial moving companies. Usually this information is made available to anyone in written form by many of the commercial moving companies. What is not in written form can be discussed by the account manager that is overseeing the move. The list of recommended actions is as follows:

• At 180 days until the commercial move date, begin to negotiate for the new office space, contact furniture companies for assessing your current needs and discuss phone needs and services.

• At 120 days until the commercial move date, begin to make structural changes or remodels for the new office space and evaluate computer systems. If there will be computer equipment purchases or upgrades, decide who will provide that service and what it will cost.

• At 90 days until the commercial move date, begin to have commercial moving companies estimate the cost of moving, go over final proposals presented by the phone companies for service, decide on the company providing the furniture needs and place your order. Make the final decision on the computer equipment to be purchased or updated and then order.

• At 60 days until the commercial move date, meet with the phone company to wire the office for the specific phone service, decide on a long distance carrier and reserve the phone numbers needed for the office. Also, make the final decision on a commercial moving company and schedule the move date, time and coarse of action with them.

• At 30 days until the commercial move date, acquire any of the parking permits necessary for the move to the new building, discuss with the building managers of the current office location and the future location the plans for moving. Make sure the phone numbers are established and ready for use when arriving at the new location.
