» Things to Consider Before Purchasing a Stroller
It is a good idea to test drive strollers in the store before purchasing one to get a feel for their weight and maneuverability. It is a nice feature to be able to steer and turn the stroller with one hand. Also, create a checklist in your mind of what features would be important for you to have.
o Canopies are a nice feature if you plan on taking walks outside with your child, because canopies can shield their eyes and skin from the sun, wind and even rain. Canopies are adjustable and some come with a window that allows you to see your child even while the canopy is up.
o Most types of strollers come with some type of storage baskets but they may vary in size. Think about how much gear you and your baby require and compare it to the storage space in the stroller you are interested in purchasing.
o Because every baby will make a mess sometime or another, a stroller with washable fabric is something to look consider. Look for a stroller with removable seat covers that are easy to clean and fit back onto the stroller.
o Larger strollers can come equipped with a removable plastic tray for baby to set his drink, snacks or toys on. Several types of stroller toys are sold to clip onto to this stroller bar to entertain baby while you are shopping.
