It is difficult to narrow down the long list of great dining restaurants in North Carolina! The whole state has so much to attract tourism that you will find many fine and great casual restaurants throughout the state. This is a limited list with short descriptions:
· Magnolia Grill, Durham: New southern meals in an elegant setting.
· Fairview, Durham: Grand elegance and southern charm.
· Nana’s Restaurant, Durham: Culinary delight in a casually elegant setting. Fish is one of the main fares.
· Sal’s Pizza, Durham: A New York neighborhood pizzeria
· Portofino’s, Charlotte: Home recipes of an Italian family have made this restaurant an award winning restaurant. They offer traditional Italian fare at great prices.
· Johnny Burrito, Charlotte: Newspapers call it the home of “Charlotte’s best burrito!”
· Porter’s Tavern, Raleigh: An upscale casual bistro with eclectic cuisine for lower prices.
· Blue Point Bar and Grill, Duck: This grill overlooks the Currituck Sound. Often makes the “must experience list” in Southern Living magazine.
· Austin Creek Grill, Hatteras Island: Spectacular waterfront dining. It is a bistro-type grill that specializes in seafood.
· Savoy, Asheville: An award winning restaurant of seafood fare. Everything is freshly made with 80% organic ingredients.
· Grove Park Inn, Asheville: Set in the beautiful stone Inn, the menu matches the environment! Perfect quinine and an incredible view of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
· The Market Place, Asheville: Continental and world cuisine prepared seasonally.
· Deerpark Restaurant, Asheville: Rated #1 in Asheville, the Biltmore restaurant is the best.
· Flying Frog Café, Asheville: The café offers French and Indian cuisine. It is rated #3 in Asheville.
· Paul’s Italian, Lake Lure: Excellent food, service and a cozy, but casual atmosphere.
