While you’re in town you’ll also want to know some good restaurants to try. Listed below are some of the dining options available in Charlotte for each meal.
 
Breakfast
·        John’s Country Kitchen: John’s Country Kitchen serves up southern favorites like grits and gravy. The menu also features eggs made to order, pancakes, hash browns, bacon, and sausage. The prices are low but the food is great.
·        International House of Pancakes: IHOP is a favorite chain restaurant that stays open 24/7. They serve items off their breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus at all hours. The breakfast menu has pancakes, eggs cooked in all varieties, hash browns, bacon, toast, sausage, and oatmeal. Menu items cost between $3 and $13. There are several IHOP locations across Charlotte.
 
Lunch
·        Zach’s Hamburgers: Zach’s has been a Charlotte tradition since 1975. In the past 30 years the hamburger joint has developed quite a loyal fan base. Their menu offers several variations of the classic hamburger like the Zach’s Special which is a huge burger served with two patties and all the trimmings. There are also chili burgers, chicken burgers, chili fries, and cheese fries. Menu prices range between $3 and $9. 
·        Applebee’s Neighborhood Bar and Grill: Applebee’s is favorite in chain restaurants and with several Charlotte locations you can enjoy their food no matter where you are in the city. Applebee’s now has a complete Weight Watchers menu for those who are watching their weight. Some menu favorites at Applebee’s include Thai Chicken Pizza, Queso Dip and Chips, Fiesta Lime Chicken, Bleu Cheese Sirloin, Bourbon Street Steak, Crispy Buttermilk Shrimp, Chicken Fajita Rollup, Cajun Lime Tilapia (Weight Watchers Menu), and Berry Lemon Cheesecake. Applebee’s also has a kid’s menu and a full service bar. Menu prices range from $2.79 to $18.
·        Hog Heaven BBQ: This BBQ establishment is a favorite among locals and visitors in Charlotte. The BBQ sauce at Hog Heaven has a tangy taste with a kick. They offer traditional BBQ dishes and sides with prices that are next to nothing. You can spend as little as $13 on an entire meal at Hog Heaven BBQ.
 
Dinner
·        Cantina 1511: Cantina 1511 serves up authentic Mexican dishes with a twist. Their menu offers such delights as Queso Fundido Dip served with tortilla chips, Carne Asada Tacos, Red Snapper Veracruz, Enchilada De Dennis, and Polo Laredo. There is also a full service bar with 35 types of tequila. Menu prices range from $3.99 to $15.
·        Coco Osteria: Located in uptown Charlotte Coco Osteria is a casual dining experience with a relaxed atmosphere. The menu is full of authentic Italian dishes such as Penne Alla Bufara, Lasagne Al Forno, and Pollo In Tortiera. There is also a full service bar with an extensive wine list. Menu prices range between $ 3 and $18.
·        Upstream: Upstream was recently named by Esquire Magazine to be one of the Best New Restaurants in America. Upstream serves delicious signature seafood dishes. Some popular menu items include Creamy Lobster Bisque, Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes, Sake Marinated South American Sea Bass, Kobe Beef “Surf and Turf”, and Roasted Carolina Black Grouper. Upstream also offers a sushi menu and bar with a lounge. Menu prices range from $8 to $65.
