One thing that drives the growth of Charlotte is the fact that the city is a major banking center in the country second only to New York City. Banking giants Bank of America and Wachovia are both based out of Charlotte.
There are several neighborhoods with in the city of Charlotte. Many of those are great places to not only live but work as well. The real estate market is up there due to the growth the city is experiencing.
