Grant writing is not only time-consuming and difficult, it is also very competitive. So you may need or want to find resources to help you with your grant writing. There are several great sources of information for you, some of which are listed below.

• Manuals. You can either purchase a grant writing manual or find them at the library.
• Grant consultants. Many people make their careers out of consulting on grant writing. For a fee, you can make use of their expertise.
• Interactive cd. With one of these, you can learn grant writing skills on your own time with a tutor of sorts.
• Workshops. These live, educational seminars come into towns and teach people how to better write grant proposals.
• State grant contact personnel. First of all, they can provide you with a lot of good information. Also, their knowledge of you (as long as it is positive) will probably give you a better shot at the grant.
