Your second day in Nicaragua should be spent at Pochamil beach which is located about an hour outside the city of Managua. A full day at the beach is a must for any vacation to Nicaragua. The beaches are pristinely beautiful and are filled with activities for the whole family. Other than swimming in the crystal clear ocean water, you can build sand castles, play beach volleyball, play soccer or Frisbee on the beach, or simply lay back and soak up some rays. When you start to get hungry for some lunch, you can simply duck into one of the restaurants at the hotels that line the beach. The food is fabulous. And, for some reason, it always seems to taste better after being outside for a while. The second half of the day could be spent horseback riding. Horseback riding along the beach is an activity that is available for anyone to partake in and enjoy. Horses are available for rent at stables along the coast. After an hour or two on horse back, you could return to your beach chair and take in the last couple of hours of sun and fun before having dinner at a nice seafood restaurant on the way back to your hotel in Managua. A short dip in the pool to cool off and relax would be nice before retiring to your room, catching a little bit of television before drifting off to sleep.
