The number of people that live in the country is increasing very quickly and with a population of around 4 million people, it is said another person will be added to the growing number every 12 minutes.

The life expectancy in the area is generally quite high and due to an excellent economical environment this plays a major part on the health and wellbeing of the men and women that live in any part of the country. For men, the average age is 77 and for women is an amazing 81.3 years.

The majority of the locals in the country aged 15 – 64 years is 67.1% making an almost equal number of males and females at just over 1,3700,000 each. 0 – 14 years is 21.1% of the population with 439,000 males and 419,000 females. The smallest sum of the population is men and women over the age of 65, the total figure comes to just 11.8% with 210,000 men and 270,000 women.
