Decorated with Mexican tiles and country antiques, the inn of La Posada de Taos is located just a few blocks from the plaza. The walls are constructed of adobe and all rooms except for one have fireplaces and private patios. Each room is decorated with its own amenities, so be sure and ask which room you will be getting upon booking. Ski packages are available as is the enjoyment of an in-room massage. The 19^th-century home has withstood the test of time and now offers luxuries from the 21^st century. The Adobe Bar in the lobby has become a popular gathering spot for locals and is complete with all Southwestern decorative touches. The rooms are each uniquely appointed with Spanish colonial art, Taos-style furniture and even hand-woven Oaxacan bedspreads and Mexican pottery. The rates start at $65 but can reach up to $225 depending on the season and room type.
