Fishing, canoeing, hiking, camping, rock climbing, biking, snowmobiling, skiing, snowboarding. If it can be done outdoors, you can find it in a great way in the White Mountains. New Hampshire’s pride and joy offers every manner of outdoor activities throughout these rugged and beautiful acres.

If scenic drives are your thing, the White Mountains offer some to rival any in the country. I-93 passes through the magnificent Franconia Notch, while Route 302 takes visitors through Crawford Notch, Bethlehem, and Littleton. The best by far is the Kancamagus Highway. The sweeping mountain outlooks along the 34-mile roadway are unparalleled.

          Dining in the White Mountains:
The White Mountains are full of magnificent resorts that offer fine dining on the premises. One of the best is the Inn at Thorn Hill, which offers an ever-changing menu in a very romantic setting. Other notable dining spots in the mountains include the Thompson House Eatery (eclectic American) in Jackson and Tim-Bir Alley (contemporary regional) in Bethlehem.
