The Monadnock Region

Perhaps New Hampshire’s most unassuming corner, the southeastern Monadnock Region is a great destination for travelers who truly want to get away. The cities are simple and quiet – and so are the accommodations. The Hancock Inn, in Hancock, is located on the town’s Main Street. It is unfussy, in the most lovely way. The Inn at Jaffrey Center is located in a 100-year-old former residence. They have 11 uniquely decorated guest rooms and suites, each with private bath.

 

The Chesterfield Inn, on New Hampshire’s border in Keene, rests on a hill overlooking Vermont’s Green Mountains. There are 15 rooms, nine in the main inn and six in the nearby cottages. Eight of them have wood-burning fireplaces and all are spacious and comfortable.
