Lake Winnipesaukee is New Hampshire’s largest lake, with some 180 miles of shoreline. Weirs Beach operates as family-land central during the warm months. Kids have a great time riding the Winnipesaukee Scenic Railroad, which offers scenic views of the area.

The village of Wolfeboro is located on the opposite side of the lake from Weirs Beach. It is decidedly more upscale. Wolfeboro boasts beautiful 19th century architecture and charming shops in the downtown area.
