Rear bike carriers were the first ones introduced to the public. At first these carriers came with metal looks that attached to the outside of the rear hatch or trunk. Rear bike inserts not only provide an excellent way to carry bikes, they are also extremely simple to take off and away. Unlike their predecessors, you do not have to take them off after use, but if you must it requires little hassle if any at all.
